The Pakistan Olympic gold medalist, Arshad Nadeem, has obtained the fourth position in the last Javelin classification for launchers, according to the ranking published on Saturday by the World Athletics Federation.
According to the update, Arshad holds 1,370 points, placing it among the world elite despite a limited participation in classification events this season.
Arshad, who achieved international importance after his golden winning performance at the Paris Olympic Games, only participated in one event this year – the Asian athletics championships, where he claimed gold.
His absence of several classification tournaments assigned his position in the classification, preventing a new increase. However, the coming months can offer a chance of improvement.
Before the world athletics championships in September, Arshad is likely to participate in two to three international competitions, which could considerably increase its ranking points if it behaves well.
Meanwhile, the Indian star Neeraj Chopra won first place in the ranking of the male javelin, exceeding Anderson Peters of Grenada.
Chopra is currently leading with 1,445 points, followed by Peters at 1,431 and Julian Weber in Germany at 1,407.
The other notable names in the first six include Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic, classified fifth with 1,346 points, and Julius Yego from Kenya in sixth place with 1,314 points.

On the female side, Haruka Kitaguchi from Japan holds the number one ranking with 1,405 points, followed by Adriana Vilagos from Serbia with 1,351.
The Plessis Jo-An in South Africa in third row with 1,318, while Elina Tzengko in Greece was fourth with 1,309 points.
For UNIVERSED, Nadeem drew global attention last year when he broke the Olympic javelin record with a remarkable 92.97 -meter throw at the Paris Olympic Games and won the coveted gold medal.
Stretching its domination, Arshad produced a similar result in the Asian athletics championship last month by obtaining the gold medal with an 86.40 -meter throw.
He also became the first Pakistani in more than 50 years to win a gold medal at the Asian athletic championships, marking the first gold in Pakistan since 1973, when the country won the best honors in javelin and 800 meters – won by Allah Dada and Muhammad Younis, respectively, during the event in the Philippines.
