Arthur Jones, brother of Jon and Chandler Jones, died at 39

Arthur Jones, a key defensive line player during the Baltimore Ravens race for the Super Bowl in 2013, died, his former team announced on Friday. He was 39 years old.

“We are terribly saddened to learn the sudden death of Arthur Jones,” said the director general of Ravens, Eric Decosta, in a statement.

Jones was credited with a bag and a recovery escaped in the match against the 49ers of San Francisco who obtained the second Vince Lombardi trophy in the Ravens.

Jones was the brother of the UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, and the former defensive winger of the New England Patriots Chandler Jones.

The Ravens selected Jones in the fifth round of the NFL 2010 NFL draft. He started 20 games for Baltimore in four seasons, ending his passage with 8½ bags.

Jones joined the Indianapolis colts in 2014 and retired in 2017 following a year -long stay with Washington.
