Ashley Tisdale is returning to the world of Sharpay Evans, and fans are loving every second of it.
Exactly 20 years later High school musical aired for the first time, the actress proved that Disney magic lives on by reliving some of her most iconic Sharpay looks and sharing the moment on social media.
To mark this milestone, Tisdale transformed the hallway of his storage unit into a fun parade, strutting around in original costumes from the film.
In a video posted to Instagram, she wrote: “You can take the girl out of East High… but you can’t take Sharpay out of the girl,” while Bop up played in the background.
She added another cheeky caption: “20 years and two babies later I’m still slipping into these looks,” making it clear she embraces nostalgia with humor and confidence.
Tisdale showed off three unforgettable outfits closely tied to Sharpay’s on-screen legacy.
She first appeared in the ruffled turquoise dress of Bop up, paired with metallic silver heels.
Next came the pink tweed skirt suit and satin camisole, with Sharpay’s iconic Sidekick phone still in hand.
She closed the video in the purple satin mini, pink ribbed tank top and silver sequined bolero worn during What I was looking for.
Earlier today, Tisdale also shared a carousel of movie photos, reflecting how little the actors knew about the impact the film would have.
“20 years ago we had no idea what this was going to become,” she wrote, adding, “I love you, Sharpay. And let me just tell you…we are still fabulous!”
Other cast members are also celebrating the anniversary.
Zac Efron, who was only 18 when the first film was made, said PEOPLE“I was so young when we made High school musicaland it was really a really great experience.
He added: “I could never have imagined that it would still mean so much to people 20 years later, or that a whole new generation would connect with it, and I’m grateful for that.”
Disney+ is also celebrating this moment by launching a dedicated program High school musical streaming channel from January 7 to March 4, presenting the three films, Sharpay’s fabulous adventureand every season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
