The Minister of Defense, Khawaja Asif, has expressed a warning that the rise in tensions with India could push the region dangerously near nuclear conflicts, because Islamabad turns out to be a deadly cross -border aggression that she labeled a “blatant act of war”.
In an interview with a private television channel on Wednesday, Asif warned that the risk of climbing was “very real”, after India air strikes on Pakistan and Azad Jammu and cashmere earlier in the morning.
“This region has already faced nuclear threats – and we could head to another strategic dead end,” said the minister. “India is going through a major internal crisis.”
