The security forces killed at least three other terrorists on Tuesday in a disinfection operation in the night of August 10 and 11 in the Sambaza general area along the Pakistani-Afghanistan border, said a statement in inter-service public relations (ISPR).

The army media wing added that weapons, ammunition and explosives have been recovered from killed terrorists. The action follows previous anti-infiltration operations in the region.

Over the past four days, the security forces have intercepted infiltration attempts along the border and killed at least 47 terrorists. The total has now increased to at least 50.

The ISPR has also added that the security forces remain determined to secure the country’s borders and to prevent attempts to destabilize Pakistan. The operation was aimed at securing the country’s borders and preventing any attempt from disturbing peace, stability and development.

Earlier on August 11, the United States officially appointed the Balutchistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its suicide unit, the Majeed Brigade, as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO), in a move greeted in Islamabad as a major boost to the efforts to fight Pakistan.

In Afghanistan, the TTP has developed a symbiotic relationship with other terrorist groups – in particular the Balutchistan Liberation Army (Bla) – to intensify attacks in Pakistan.

Pakistani officials say they have credible proof of tactical and strategic coordination between the deadly BLA and TTP.

These statements were reinforced by the last report of the United Nations Security Council, which explicitly declares that the Bla – including its major brigade – and the TTP maintain “close coordination” in their terrorist activities.

The report cites high -level complex attacks claimed by these groups in 2025 to illustrate the level of operational synchronization between them.

The TTP and its affiliated groups had fled through the border in Afghanistan following their rout in a major military operation, appointed Zarb-E-Azb, in the ancient tribal areas of Pakistan in 2014.

There, they have found security shelters which they have since used as launching ramps for attacks inside Pakistan.

Balutchistan welcomes major projects as part of the Chinese-Pakistani Economic Corridor (CPEC) of several billion dollars, which is part of the Belt and Road initiative in Beijing, and has often been targeted in insurgents’ attacks.
