Depending on the notice, the planes encountered challenges with GPS navigation during flights in these regions. Problems mainly affect flight trajectories in and around Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad airports.
Air traffic control (ATC) asked the pilots to immediately report the difficulties of the GPS signal, as well as the details of interference, to ensure the safety and efficiency of flight operations.
In the event of navigation difficulties, the pilots were invited to take the necessary measures to maintain navigation in flight in complete safety and continuous and inform the ATC for additional assistance.
Disturbances, mainly due to frequency interference, have the impact potential of the flight routes and cause differences in the plane trajectory. Pakistan aviation authorities are working on problems attenuating, but safety measures and continuous surveillance are applied to avoid any accident.
The opinion also stipulates that the pilots should be vigilant and immediately communicate any disturbance linked to GPS, in particular because these interference could compromise the safe navigation of thefts.
