ATC orders blocking of Omar Ayub’s passport, CNIC in protest case

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has declared Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub a ‘registered offender’ and ordered authorities to block his passport and computerized national identity card (NIC).

The decision was announced by ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra following the politician’s absence in court, who also sought details of Ayub’s property.

The development relates to a case registered against the former Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly at Noon Police Station under terrorism provisions for his alleged involvement in the October 4, 2024 PTI protest in the federal capital.
