The security forces killed 30 Khawariji terrorists trying to infiltrate the country of Afghanistan during operations carried out for two nights in northern Waziristan, the army media wing, inter-service public relations (ISPR) was carried out on Friday in the press release.
The movement of a large group of terrorists, identified as Khawarij belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna Al Khawarij, was detected the nights from 1 to 2 July and 2 to 3 July in the Hassan Khel region near the Pakistani-Afghanistan border, the press release.
The security forces hired the group and “thwarted the attempt by the Khawariji terrorists sponsored by India to infiltrate,” the ISPR said in a statement.
The army said that a large amount of weapons, ammunition and explosives had been recovered from the site.
According to the ISPR, the terrorists killed were involved in multiple terrorist attacks, in particular these targeting civilians and staff responsible for the application of laws.
The ISPR called on the Acting Afghan government to prevent Afghan soil from “foreign proxies” to orchestrate terrorist activities against Pakistan.
The army has reiterated that the Pakistan security forces remain “resolved and unwavering” in their commitment to defend the borders of the nation and to eliminate terrorism sponsored by the country’s Indians.
