Aurangzeb reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to economic growth at the OCS Finance meets

The Federal Minister of Finance and Income, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, reiterated the unshakable commitment of Pakistan to promote regional economic cooperation to the finance of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and to the governors of central banks in Beijing on Tuesday.

The virtual address has highlighted Pakistan’s continuous dedication to advance economic stability, prosperity and development in the SCO framework.

Senator Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the active role of Pakistan within the OCS, stressing its importance as a vital platform to improve economic ties between the Member States.

He congratulated the growing influence of SCO in regional development, trade and investment.

Aurangzeb also expressed its gratitude to China for welcoming the high -level gathering and underlined Pakistan’s support for proposals aimed at stimulating joint projects, technology transfer and capacity building programs.

He highlighted the role of the digital economy and financial inclusion in growth growth and responded to the need for collaborative action on global challenges such as climate change, economic slowdowns and the expansion of inequalities. The Minister also called for inclusive development models to ensure sustainable results for all OCS members.

Supporting the creation of a SCO development bank, Senator Aurangzeb pleaded to focus on financing infrastructure, regional integration and sustainable financial practices.

He expressed the optimism that the proposed bank would prioritize digital finance, fintech solutions and environmentally friendly investments.
