Bad Bunny is revisiting a comment he made in October, saying critics of his upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance need to learn Spanish.

“I’m really excited to be in the Super Bowl. I know people around the world who love my music are happy too,” he said on “Saturday Night Live,” before teasing his critics in Spanish.

But this week, during an appearance at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Bad Bunny said learning Spanish isn’t necessary.

“I know I told them they have four months to learn Spanish — they don’t even have to learn Spanish. They (can) learn to dance,” Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, told a packed crowd.

Bad Bunny, who has been the most streamed artist on Spotify four times in the past six years, got the nod in September. His 2022 album, “Un Verano Sin Ti,” is the most-streamed album of all time on the app, and he has over 51 million followers on Instagram.

The artist received both praise and backlash for her “ICE out” comments at the Grammys earlier this week. Bad Bunny said last fall that he had decided to do his residency in his native Puerto Rico and had not booked any U.S. dates for his tour, fearing that his fans would be detained by ICE agents.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., said he would avoid Bad Bunny’s performance at the “Woke Bowl.”

“And we have Bad Bunny, or Bad Rabbit, at halftime. I’ll watch the (Turning Point USA) halftime show. It’s just a shame that we’ve come to this point. »
