Bad Bunny, who thrilled music lovers with an electric Super Bowl halftime performance after winning the Grammy for album of the year, made headlines for awarding his Grammy to a child, with netizens speculating that he gave the award to the child in ICE custody.
His decision sparked massive backlash from observers, with some believing the child who received Bad Bunny’s award was Liam Ramos, the five-year-old who was released from a Texas detention center after ICE agents arrested him at his school.
However, it was confirmed that the child was not Liam but model Lincoln Fox, who is half-Argentinian and half-Egyptian.
The star captured hearts performing his biggest hits as the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots faced off on Sunday for Super Bowl LIX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
During the concert, a young boy was shown watching a clip of his recent Grammy Awards speech on television in his family’s living room.
The singer then entered the stage to present the child with a Grammy Award and patted him on the head before continuing his high-energy performance.
Reacting to the musician’s gesture, one person wrote on X: “The little boy who Bad Bunny gave his Grammy to at the Super Bowl was Liam Ramos!”
Meanwhile, the second continued: “Little Liam Ramos, the 5-year-old kidnapped by ICE, received the Grammy from Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl halftime…”
A third person seemed disappointed and criticized the singer’s move on
