- The Samsung Galaxy tripolar phone can only be launched in China and Korea if a new rumor is to pass
- In addition, a new patent deposit suggests that Samsung has created a design for a quadruple phone with three hinges
- Samsung has not recognized the rumor or the patent
During the first unpacked event of this year Samsung Galaxy, Samsung suggested that he was working on a multiple phone – also called triple phone – which has since been known on the rumor mill under the name Samsung Galaxy G Fold.
However, a new rumor suggests that Keen Samsung fans in many regions of the world could be disappointed by the availability of the Galaxy G Fold at launch.
As Gsmarena reports, lists have been discovered in the GSM association database for two new Samsung, SM-F968N and SM-F9680 model numbers. It is suspected that they refer to the supposed multiple phone.
The report adds that Samsung generally uses suffix N for phones intended for its internal South Korea market, while a code ending with 0 indicates a Chinese version.
There are no other announcements for SM-F968 for the moment, which suggests that the phone will arrive in China and Korea above all.
It is also possible that Samsung does not plan a wider output for the Galaxy G Fold – We have already seen a similar version for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE in October 2024, and that the phone has not yet appeared on the shelves outside of China and Korea.
However, this would seem to be a strange choice given that the company previously teased multiple devices during the unpacked event of Samsung Galaxy in January.
A fourth time?
Although we did not even have an official confirmation of a specific three -fold device from Samsung, another rumor suggests that the company could move forward with the next step in the evolution of the folding phone.
A patent discovered by Samobile shows that Samsung has patented a new design that would allow a folding phone with four peaks with three and four panels.
The design presents a hinge on the right in the middle of the interior screen, with the folding phone inwards on each side.
We do not know if Samsung intends to make this conception a reality as soon as – it could be an example of them sitting on intellectual property.
In any case, if Samsung jumps for the west with the Galaxy G Fold, I hope that we are at least considered for all the quadruple phones that arise in the years to come.
