Bafe imposed in Bajaur parts in the middle of the anti-terroris operation

Bajaur:

The district administration imposed a curfew in 24 localities of Mamond Tehsil, tribal district of Bajaur, as part of a targeted operation against the terrorists.

According to an official notification issued with the approval of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa House department, the curfew will remain in force from 5 p.m. on August 16 at 5 p.m. on August 21.

The order strictly prohibits residents from leaving their home or moving on the roads during the curfew period. Authorities have warned that individuals violating the restrictions will be held responsible for any unfortunate incident.

The areas under article 144 include Malangi, Suprayi, Dwaogai, Meena Souleman Khel, Khworchai, Chamyar Jor, Zagai, Gat, Agra, Ghandai, Chamalon, Larkalan, Barkalan, Ghanam Shah, Chotra, Darkalan, Barkalan, Ghanam Shah, Chotra, Darkala Khworo and Naga.

Meanwhile, the army launched emergency construction work on the Jarr bridge, which was swept away by recent floods, disconnecting Bajaur de Dir.

The units of the body of army engineers equipped with heavy machines and technical equipment were sent to Bajaur to install a new bridge. Officials said the work would continue 24 hours a day and should be completed in a few days.

Once the bridge is restored, the critical road link between Bajaur and Dir will be immediately reopened for traffic.
