The chief minister of Balutchistan, Sarfraz Bugti, said on Monday that the security forces, including the Department of the Fight against Terrorism (CTD), had thwarted a large -scale destruction plan on independence day, crediting their efforts to save the province of the Great Devastation.
Speaking at a press conference in Quetta: “On August 14, the suicide bomber had planned to target the innocent citizens who celebrated independence,” said the chief minister during the fight against a press conference.
Bugti congratulated the organizations responsible for the application of laws and urged parents to close their children closely to prevent them from being misled. He stressed that the people of Balutchistan had to remain cautious and remain away from the elements divided from propaganda.
The chief minister revealed that the people involved in the attack on Quetta station in November 2024 were the same people behind the recent plot.
He said investigations were underway and that more propaganda tools would be exposed. Bugti stressed that even if the company would not be subject to a collective sanction, those who target “our innocent children and citizens” would be firmly treated.
BUGTI also disclosed the confession of a Buitems University teacher, who admitted to having used the request for a telegram for terrorist activities. The speaker admitted that he had received objectives, facilitated terrorist operations and betrayed the state.
According to Bugti, the decree speaker held a doctorate in Pakistani studies and had taught students, while his wife was also a teacher and his retired mother. “Where’s deprivation here?” He asked, criticizing the exploitation of marginalization stories. He also allegedly alleged that such elements also exploited women to prepare them for suicide attacks.
Bugti warned that those who oppose the state should be judged under separate laws, saying that “terrorists will be treated with an iron fist”. He said that the question of missing people was systematically used as a propaganda tool against the state and said that “there is no forced disappearance on our side”.
The chief minister stressed that Parliament was the country’s supreme institution and that all powers were derived from it.
BUGTI confirmed the arrest of a BLA facilitator forbidden to quetta and said that around 2,000 people who were trying to break the country would not be forgiven. He added that surveys had also identified government employees among the suspects.
Commenting on the removal of two assistant commissioners, BUGTI admitted that it was worrying, but assured that the operations were underway, including one in Khalifat Hills the previous night, to ensure their recovery safely.
He argued that the security forces had the capacity to fight terrorism, while the provincial government would deal with legal and administrative issues.
“Those who wish to talk to us will find our doors open,” said Bugti. He urged all political parties to oppose terrorism and to recognize state sacrifices to counter it.
