Jarred Shaw, a 34-year-old basketball player from the Indonesian basketball league, was arrested after pretending to have illegal drugs in the country, police said on Thursday.
The strict Indonesia drug laws have potentially experienced a perpetuity imprisonment and even the death penalty if it is found guilty. The convicted smugglers were executed by a shooting team in the past.
Ronald Sipayung, police chief at Soekarno-Hatta airport, said the authorities had a descent into Shaw’s apartment just outside the country of Jakarta, where they seized 132 pieces of cannabis candies.

Shaw told the police that he wanted to share the candies with his teammates, said Sipayung.
