EXCLUSIVE: California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) was criticized this week for an post-season track meeting which saw a trans biologically male athlete in the top nine of the three girls’ events.
The prelime of division 3 of the southern section of the Southern at Yorba Linda secondary school broke out on Saturday in a political gathering on the question of transcusion trans into the sports of girls with multiple competitors and participants wearing shirts that read “Protect Girls Sports”, hoisting stake panels and speaking during a press conference.
During the competition, the officials would have prompted athletes to withdraw the “Protect Girls Sports” shirts, suppressing their desire to express an opposition to the Police of CIF gender eligibility. The CIF recognized in PK Press Club Digital that the incidents occurred and that the girls had their school uniforms under the shirts.
“According to the Bulletin of the South CIF South section series, all athletes must be dressed in appropriate uniforms, issued to school.
However, witnesses told PK Press Club Digital that officials had not given the same orders to athletes with other non -university shirts without the message “Protect Girls Sports”.
The demonstrations came in response to a trans biologically male athlete who participated in the height leap of the girls, in long jump and in the triple jump for the high school of Jurupa Valley.

The Trans athlete finally finished in the first nine of the girls’ height, leap in leaving and finished in first place in the triple jump. Regarding the top new in all these events, the athlete will progress in the State semi-finals, while the three female athletes who have finished in 11th place in these events will all miss.
Meanwhile, many athletes who competed had to wait for a intermission of several hours after the temperatures exceeded 100 degrees Farenheit, putting the event in a weather time due to dangerous heat levels.
Several competitors told PK Press Club Digital that the competition officials would have approached them and had told them to remove the shirts and did not give the girls the freedom to go and take them elsewhere. The girls allege that the civil servants immediately removed them with the shirts, under the supervision of the officials, and did not give them time or additional opportunities to do it elsewhere.
“They did not let us go to do anything unless you remove the shirt,” said Lily Ingallinera, pupil of the Brea Olinda high school, 15. “They said,” You have to delete it now! “… He did not leave until we removed him.”
Student Brea Olinda, Julia Teven, 17, allegedly allegedly gave him similar orders.
“You could say that he was not going to take no for an answer,” said Teven. “He stood right there, looking at us” you better remove it “. This is essentially what it was feeling.”
Ingallinera added that she had found the orders of the “bizarre” official and preferred him if he asked her trainer or a responsible woman to relay the message instead.
“I thought it was a little weird that this adult man came to us and said persistently:” I need you to remove it. “I think they should have told our coaches to come and tell us instead of this civil servant whom I know how to be older than us and an adult adult and I have the impression that a woman should have done it or that he should have done on the speaker by telling everyone and not only to say to everyone,” said Ingallinera.
Teven and Crean Lutheran, the student, Reese Hogan, 16, alleged that the officials made them feel that if they did not take off their shirts, they would be disqualified from the event.
“It was not said, but it was implicit that if I did not withdraw my shirt at that time, then something could potentially happen in my place, it was not said but it was implicit,” said Hogan. “Throughout the day, it was a little more strict … becoming a little more hostile with their voice … They never said anything to be disqualified, but it was a little implicit by the tone of their voice and the way they said things.”
The teenagers open onto the scandal of trans athletes who have transformed their high school into a battlefield of cultural war
The girls alleged that the competition managers were spread over other athletes who wore the “Protect Girls Sports” shirts and also made these athletes withdraw them.
Hogan added that she had been forced to remove her shirt on the ground during the warm -up, then again at the door after leaving the place and tried to come back, while her hands were full of other supplies.
“I said to myself” Is that going if I enter and remove? “They just made us remove the shirts wherever we are.”
Teven, Hogan and her Lutheran Crean colleague, Olivia Viola, said the officials told them that the reasoning behind asking her to withdraw the shirts was because the shirts were not official school uniforms. However, girls also said that other athletes with equipment with college names or other brands that were not official school uniforms were not invited to withdraw their shirts.

“I just found it really, as, really, I had the impression that it was unfair, just in a way targeted, that we represent, because the shirts said nothing offensive. It was not derogatory. All he said was to protect the sports of women,” said Viola. “And it was really clear that they only wanted our shirts because of what we supported and did not care about the real role because of the other athletes we wear.”
The four girls claim that the police presence in the competition was increased at levels that they had never seen during a high school track meeting, while the event became a home for a debate on the national conflict against trans athletes in sports for girls. Jurupa Valley’s Trans competitor caused controversy throughout the season, breaking long -standing girls records during various games.

In addition to the shirts and a press conference where the students, parents and community leaders expressed the government of the State of CIF and California for having continued to protect trans inclusion, the crowd of spectators present in a drinking manner or laughed at the Trans competitor all day.
Images on social networks show spectators singing “It’s a boy!” At the athlete, while Viola said that other fans had applauded the trans athlete during the event while remaining silent for female competitors.
“I know that it was like, really, really, really divided, in particular, as when he was jumping, and it was as if you could see him obviously, almost as if it was as if half of the stadium was, like, against that. And then there was like a small piece of people here who, as, encouraged very hard for everything he did,” said Viola.
“It was just embarrassing for me. It was a little sad to hear stronger people for the organic male in competition in a female sport than women in competition in female sports. This part was just a little, this part was sad for me.”
However, the four girls also expressed their sympathy for the athlete on the insults that were launched by the other spectators.
“I do not do it, I do not tolerate the same, intimidation, the cries of this person. I think that is 100% on the authorities of authority that allow this to happen,” said Viola.
Teven and Ingallinera say they even talked to the athlete during the breaks on Saturday and do not believe that the athlete is at fault for the situation
“I really believe that he does not have a harmful intention for the sports of girls. I think it is the kind of CIF allowing him to put him in a way in his position,” said Teven. “I think it really, it is fair, like the CIF, and it only takes advantage of its opportunity.”
Ingallinera even said that the athlete was “very nice” and thinks that the CIF puts the athlete in an unjust position.
“I spoke to this guy, and he was very, he was very respectful, very kind. He really said nothing hurtful things. I didn’t say anything about him. And I said to myself, he was very nice,” said Ingallinera. “I think that if CIF did not allow them to compete, they would be in competition with the guys’ division instead of the girls.”
The CIF is currently under investigation by the United States Department of Education To allow Trans athletes to participate in the sports of girls and potential violations of title IX.
California was one of the first states to openly challenge the executive decree of President Donald Trump “men out of women’s sport” after having signed it on February 5.
“The CIF offers students the possibility of belonging, connecting and competing in experience -based experiences in accordance with California law [Education Code section 221.5. (f)] which allows students to participate in school programs and activities, including teams and sports competitions, in accordance with the genre identity of the student, whatever the genre listed on student files, “said the CIF previously in a press release to PK Press Club Digital.

California Governor Gavin Newsom addressed the issue during an episode of his podcast in early March.
“Well, I think it’s a problem of equity,” Newsom told the conservative influencer Charlie Kirk. “I fully agree with you about it. It is deeply unfair.
“It is therefore easy to call injustice.
“So, the two things I can hold in my hand. How can we solve this problem with the type of decency that I think you know how to be inherent in you, but not always expressed on the question?
“The question you ask is the question that we have been asking for months and that we could not answer. What is this line? How can you make it right? I could not understand it, and I am as transparent on this subject as anyone there, especially in my party.
PK Press Club Digital contacted Newsom’s office on the latest controversy but had no postponement.
