Bella Hadid opens up about her invisible battle with anxiety and depression

Bella Hadid shares a heartfelt note about living with anxiety and depression

Bella Hadid has shared a touching note about her ongoing battle with anxiety and depression.

The model, who recently celebrated her 29th birthday, shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram on Sunday to show her empathy and support for others facing similar challenges.

Bella posted a touching poem that read: “When the load seems too heavy and the future looks bleak, you can take a moment, if you feel like you’ve lost your spark.”

The model revealed she carried the weight of “all-consuming” and “crippling” anxiety and depression for many years, which was “invisible to the outside world”.

“It can leave you in tears before you start your day, wondering why your mind is so heavy when life around you seems so bright,” she wrote.

Bella further noted that she had once been ashamed of her mental health issues, but now saw her sensitivity and empathy as strengths rather than “weaknesses.”

“My sensitivity, my awareness, my empathy… that’s what makes us human,” she shared.

The Kin Euphorics co-founder also spoke about her work with UNICEF, saying she met children and families dealing with trauma and fear.

She said of these people: “Behind their smiles, they fight the same invisible battles with anxiety, PTSD and fear, but without access to the care and safety we so often take for granted. »

Bella concluded her post with a kind message to her followers, writing: “Please don’t hesitate to ask for help. I’ve been there.”

This came just weeks after Bella updated fans on her 13-year battle with Lyme disease.
