- There is evidence that the beta of the UI 8 is developing
- The support could return to Galaxy S22 phones
- A complete launch of the software is expected in July
One UI 7 of Samsung (based on Android 15) has only been widely available for a few months, but the beta test program for an 8 user interface (based on Android 16) is already operational – and could soon extend to more galaxy phones.
Currently, you need a Samsung Galaxy S25, a Galaxy S25 Plus or a Galaxy S25 Ultra to register for Beta Ui 8, but users have identified in progress to allow the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 access.
Samsung has not yet officially said about it, but it is a strong index that the beta UI 8 will not be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 handsets for too long. Presumably, the Samsung Galaxy S24 handsets will also be included in the expansion.
The beta UI 8 opened last week and you can register via the application of members on your Samsung phone. It could be an idea to continue to check the first page of this application if your phone has been switched to the beta program soon.

Excellent news !! Galaxy S23 Series: The Official Community Page of the One 8.0 Beta Samsung user interface has been created, but so far only in Germany.May 31, 2025
There is a warning here, namely that the One UI 8 BETA program is currently only available for users in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and South Korea (where Samsung is based). It is not clear if the program will develop beyond these countries.
There could also be capacity problems: as Samobile reports, the beta program in the United States has filled out during the weekend, so that new users cannot register. However, when writing the editorial’s moment, new users are accepted again.
Samsung has confirmed that an IU 8 was going to be preinstalled on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Since these foldables should be revealed in July, it seems that it is a fairly short beta version.
There is a lot to hope for in a single user interface 8. Software update will provide better multitasking support, phones security improvements, improved file sharing features, Samsung Internet adjustments and Samsung reminders and much more.
