- Bethesda just gave us a new Fallout trailer
- This doesn’t confirm the Fallout 3 remaster rumor
- Fallout Season 2 Finale Airs This Week
If the Internet is to be believed, the final of To fall Season 2 – Prime Video’s hit based on the iconic video game series – won’t leave us wanting more adventures in Wasteland for long, as Bethesda is apparently gearing up to release a remaster of Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegasor both.
And it just released a brand new trailer for both games… but it was also an advertisement for the series as a whole. Starring Aaron Moten (who plays Maximus in the series) and Vault Boy in a spooky and funny sketch where the duo revisit various entries in the series, including Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, as well as more recent entries like Fallout shelter And Fallout 76.
Look on it
While the 2:25 minute sketch does a great job of selling the various entries in the series, it’s obviously not what many gamers were hoping for. And while this doesn’t outright confirm a re-release of two Fallout classics, it doesn’t dispel my hopes either.

So why do many believe in shadow speculation?
Well, it wouldn’t be the first time. Fallout 4 was made official and then released a few months later, which was much faster than typical industry standards at the time, but that of 2023 Rush to Hi-Fi and last year’s Oblivion Remastered were both real instant surprises when they debuted.
And according to developer feedback, Bethesda wants to do more shadow-drops in the future (via FRVR).
How do the fingers point Fallout 3 And New Vegas, SO? Well, these two games – especially New Vegas with the most recent season – were an important source of inspiration for the TV show. However, the games are unfortunately showing their age, which doesn’t make them easy to understand for newer, more casual Fallout fans.
We also have court documents from Microsoft confirming a Fallout 3 a remake is in the works. These same documents also spoiled the Oversight remaster.
Speculation about the remaster wasn’t helped by posts like this one on Reddit, which suggested that Steam had teased the remakes by saying that the Fallout series had 12 entries, but only showed 10 games in the collection; However, fans pointed out that this was because of regional variants, not secret remasters.
Or this other post highlighting that several trailers have recently been deleted from the Fallout 3 Steam Page – something that also happened just before OversightThe remaster of has arrived.
However, as is the case with all leaks and speculation – and even more so with releases that fans are incredibly excited for – it’s hard to tell where the legitimate spoilers stop and the desperate hope begins.
I am convinced that at least one Fallout 3 Or New Vegas will be updated soon, although I don’t expect a Remaster to arrive until later this week. I hope I’m wrong about that, but either way, we have the Season 2 finale to look forward to – and after the last episode ended, it can’t come soon enough.
