Star Field is expected to receive a major update in early 2026 that will improve the spaceflight loading screens and the game’s creation engine, as well as announcements for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 ports.
That’s according to Windows Central, which reports that there is truth to a rumor about a closed-door event Bethesda held recently that featured updates. Star Field features that will be released in 2026.

According to the publication’s sources, Star Field will receive improved loading screens during spaceflight, and it will now appear “more free and seamless if the rumors are correct”, while “various other systems relating to space travel and exploration will also be improved.”
