BHC CJ takes note of the “Honor” murder of the couple

The chief judge of the High Court of Balutchistan, judge Rozi Khan Barrech, took note of Suo Motu of the brutal murder of a man and a woman, who would have been assassinated on the name of honor, after a video of the incident became viral on social networks.

Chief Judge Barch summoned the additional chief secretary (domicile) and the police inspector to appear in court and provide a briefing on the case on Tuesday.

The couple, who was not identified, was shot dead on the orders of a local tribal council last month in Balutchistan, according to the provincial authorities, who investigated after the video became viral.

According to the police, a case was registered under article 302 of the Pakistan Criminal Code and the relevant sections of the anti-terrorism law.

The FIR said that male and female victims had been declared “Karokari” (term used for “murders of honor”) in a tribal jirga led by the elder Tribal Sardar Sherbaz Khan Satakzai. After the verdict, they were taken to vehicles in a distant area where they were slaughtered.

The complainant of the case said that horrible law was filmed and disseminated online, causing fear and panic among the public.

Eleven suspects were arrested, the chief minister of Balutchistan, the chief minister of Balutchistan said on Monday, in a statement, a few hours after announcing that the location and the inhabitants of the video had been identified.

At a press conference, Bugti said the two victims were already married to children. “The woman had five children and the name of her husband is Noor,” he said. “The man was also married and had six children. There was no marital relationship between them. ”

The chief minister condemned murders as “completely inhuman” and said that neither the state nor the company would tolerate such acts. “All those involved will be arrested and brought to justice,” he added.

Bugti noted that the case had become viral online, which aroused public interest and disinformation of the public. “Many misleading that the two were a newly married couple. It is simply not true,” he said.

One of the most disturbing aspects of the case, said Bugti, was the reluctance of anyone to come forward and to file a first information report (FIR). “Parents and children of the victims are present, but no one records a case,” he said.

“When the police are trying to investigate, men disappear from the region and women weigh on officers,” he added. He also revealed that the viral video of the killings was not disclosed outside. “This video was not obtained from external sources. The murderers themselves posted it,” he said.

The government, he said, conducts a complete investigation and intends to present the culprits to court soon. “This is an era when unaccountable news spread quickly. I urge everyone to check the facts before sharing,” warned Bugti.

He also recognized that parallel justice systems still influence Pakistani society. “We are part of a culture where Jirgas [tribal courts] Always operate, “he said.” But the government takes constitutional measures against such systems. “”
