Big update on the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ trailer

Marvel Studios Created ’30 Trailers’ for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Avengers: Apocalypse is the next flagship film from Marvel Studios. As they say his trailer will fall before the Avatar: Fire and Ashes screening, a new report explains how the franchise plans to build anticipation for it.

Citing a source, John Campea, who wears many hats from film critic to director and entertainment insider, says the studio has “put together about 20 different versions of this trailer.”

“But here’s the funny thing, a few days ago. I was talking to a friend of mine, who is in these circles, and they said to me: It’s not just adjustments. They said this trailer is so important,” he adds.

Following around 20 failed projects in the MCU, John shares, “They said, ‘John, you and Rob said this was going to be the most important trailer, maybe of all time. You have no idea how right you are because this trailer is so important.’

“They made… not a few minor adjustments. They put together, like, 20 different versions of that trailer. So I reached out again to someone I know at Marvel.”

Following his conversation, John said he contacted his source within Marvel. “So I wrote to someone at Marvel Disney and said, ‘Hey, I kind of heard this, is there any truth to this?’ And they just said, “No, not 20, 20 or more.” [it’s] 30 or more.”

It’s not uncommon for studios to create multiple draft trailers for a film. However, the reported number of “30” is extreme, showing that Marvel is betting big on Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives on December 18, 2026.
