The President of the Pakistani People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, denied speculations on party membership in the federal cabinet and rejected information reporting to the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.

Addressing journalists after meeting the president of the Senate in Islamabad, Bilawal said: “The news of my participation in the inauguration came from the media. We should question them on this subject. I could visit the United States to have breakfast and meet friends; It has been a tradition since my mother’s time.

Clarifying the position of the PPP concerning membership of the shehbaz cabinet, Bilawal said: “The People’s Party does not reach the cabinet. I am neither minister nor occupy any government position. Therefore, my visit to the United States will have no official commitment.

Bilawal’s comments occur in the midst of current speculation on the political strategy of the PPP and its potential role in the coalition government.

Previously, PPP President had strongly criticized the federal government led by the Muslim League of Pakistan – Nawaz (PMNL -N) for having made “unilateral decisions without consulting its political allies”, warning that such actions were unnecessary challenges ‘administration.

In a speech delivered during an event in the federal capital, Bilawal Bhutto stressed the importance of a policies based on consensus, stressing that the Pakistani political system prosperous when the government listens to the people and collaborates with the main stakeholders.
