The president of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, demanded that India provide concrete evidence to support his allegations against Pakistan concerning Pahalgam’s attack. Addressing a public rally in Mirpur Khas, Sindh, Thursday, he said:

“We [Pakistan] are not involved in this. If you have evidence, present it. Tell the people of Mirpur Khas that these terrorists are. We will catch them and hang them publicly in a Mirpur Khas field. »»

While rejecting India’s allegations against Pakistan, Bilawal said: “If India has evidence, let them present it. We will take measures against the authors. But if they continue to target Sindhu, they should be prepared for an answer. ”

He also declared that Pakistan is not looking for war but would defend its rights and resources against any aggression.

He criticized India’s accusations as a pretext to target the Indus river. He stressed that the PPP mission was to protect the river, declaring: “Our mission was to save Sindhu, and we saved it together. We will not allow the butcher of Gujrat modes to stifle the sindhu throat. We don’t want a war, but we fight anyone attacking Sindhu. “

By thinking about the history of the PPP, Bilawal recalled how the party and the public collectively restored democracy and ousted two military dictators. He honored the heritage of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who defended workers’ rights, and reiterated the party’s commitment to protect the rights of all citizens, including workers, students, young people, women and minorities.

He also discussed the controversy surrounding the construction of new channels in the Sindh while revealing that during the Minister of the Government of the Guardian, decisions were made to build new channels, and the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) issued certificates claiming an abundance of water. However, assuming that PPP representatives, including Jam Khan Shoro, opposed these plans, arguing that they would harm Sindh’s water resources.

He congratulated President Asifi Ali Zardari for his firm position against the channel’s projects, declaring that Zardari had clearly indicated during a joint parliamentary session that such projects constituted a threat to the Sindh and had to be interrupted.

Bilawal has expressed its gratitude to civil society and lawyers for their support for movement to protect Sindh water rights. He also condemned India’s position on the Industry Water Treaty, claiming that Pakistan would not accept any unilateral change.

The president of the PPP concluded by reiterating the party’s commitment to democracy, peace and protection of Sindh’s interests, urging all stakeholders to unite to protect the resources and rights of the province.
