The NFL team won the Super Bowl at the end of the season receives the Vince Lombardi trophy.
Lombardi was head coach of Green Bay packers when he led the team to two consecutive victories against the American football league – Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders, respectively. It was only the third NFL-AFL championship match that the term Super Bowl was used.

Lombardi Packers were one of the most dominant teams of the time. He had led Green Bay to three other NFL championships before the idea of an NFL against AFL was designed.
Due to the story, the Super Bowl trophy was appointed after Lombardi. It is one of the most prestigious trophies in sport, next to the Lord Stanley Cup and the FIFA World Cup trophy.
Legendary head coach Bill Belichick discussed the Super Bowl with Jim Gray on the “Let’s Go!” podcast. He told Gray that it was the players who really deserve the merit of Super Bowl’s victory. The legendary Mattracture Sports reminded Belichick that it was Lombardi that the trophy was appointed and not Bart Starr, which was the MVP of the first two games.
“Maybe they should name him the Brady trophy,” joked Belichick, referring to the legend of the Patriots of New England Tom Brady. “He won seven of them.”

Belichick said the teams cannot win without good players. He said he had learned that when he was a defensive coordinator under Bill Parcels with the New York Giants and when he helped create a formidable defense of the fame with the Patriots.

“You can’t win games without good players. I don’t care who is the coach. It’s impossible. You can’t win without good players,” he said. “I discovered it when I (Lawrence) Taylor, (Carl) Banks, Harry Carson, Jim Burt, Everson Walls, all these guys with the giants.
“Same thing when we are good in Cleveland and New England, it’s (Willie) McGinest, it’s (Mike) Trin, it’s (Tedy) Bruschi, it’s Corey Dillon, it’s Randy MOSS, Troy Brown, Malloy lawyer, Ty Law, Rodney Harrison.

Brady and Belichick won six Super Bowl titles with the Patriots. The star quarterrier then won one more with the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay.
