Bill Belichick withdrew the curtain on how he was able to maintain the relationship between the quarter-back Tom Brady and the wide receiver Antonio Brown in a good place while he was the head coach of the New England Patriots.
The Patriots signed the wide receiver towards the start of the 2019 season after his brutal departure from the Las Vegas raiders. He ended up playing a match for New England and had four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Even if he was a wonder at a blow to Foxborough, Brady and Brown cultivated a relationship that lasted in their years of Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Belichick, now a football coach at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, opened the “The Pivot” podcast on the secret ingredient to maintain their relationship afloat – $ 5,000 in milk. Animator Ryan Clark underlined a chapter of Belichick’s book, “The Art of Winning: lessons from my life in football”, about star players.
“One of the funniest stories in the book is the story of Antonio Brown. It was only with the Patriots for 11 days,” said Belichick. “And, Tom very oriented towards nutrition. Antonio wanted … Tom had Antonio who came and stay at home, wanted to kiss him, bring him to the team and so on.

“Antonio ordered this special milk for Brady, it cost $ 5,000. In short, he mixed a little and ended up in the mail room for too long, and the milk went wrong.”
Belichick said the Patriots’ staff had a $ 5,000 milk to lend a hand to Brown.
“So, now we put this spending report-$ 5,000 in milk. Sometimes you just have to do the right thing, and I didn’t want to spoil the relationship between Brown and Brady on this spoiled milk,” he said.

While Brown’s time with the patriots did not last long, he and Brady then won a super bowl while they were with the Buccaneers during the 2020 season.
