Bindi Irwin celebrated a remarkable day in her life, recovering from endometriosis.
The 26-year-old reality star took to her Instagram account on Wednesday to mark her first “big hike” since her current state.
In the post, Irwin expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to enjoy the nature walk.
Calling her husband her best friend, the wildlife conservationist wrote in her post: “A day spent hiking 10+ miles, across 3 mountains with my best friend.”
She got emotional as she shared her experience saying: “My first big hike in YEARS since endometriosis took so much away from me. I cried quite a few tears of joy. Endless gratitude in my heart . @chandlerpowell – I will remember this day forever.”
Irwin shared a series of photos showing his hike in the picturesque location.
A photo presents the daughter of the deceased Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin posing in front of a lake, donning a shirt that reads “Happy Camper.”
It is pertinent to mention that Irwin is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter, Grace, whom she shares with Powell.
Irwin has opened up about her battle with endometriosis and undergoing surgery to remove a cyst in her ovary.
According to the Mayo Clinic, endometriosis is “an often painful condition in which tissue similar to the inner lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus.”
