- Bluepoint Games is hiring for a game with “third-person melee action”
- With its history of work on the The souls of demons remake, we speculate that the unannounced project could be Bloodborne
- This will be the studio’s final project since its live-action game was canceled
The souls of demons studio Bluepoint Games is officially hiring for an unannounced new project, and fans think it could be so anticipated Transmitted by blood remake.
As spotted by Tech4Gamers (via Shinobi602), a new job posting for a “senior combat designer” is now live on Bluepoint’s careers page and details several qualifications that confirm the game will be a third-person action game.
Qualifications include experience working in combat design, as well as a “solid understanding of combat systems and mechanics for third-person melee action experiences.”
The post also confirms that it will work on “AI gameplay,” which could mean enemy AI, “character balance and controls,” “high-level character design intent, combat flow plans and respective systems,” and more.
Bluepoint has yet to announce its next project, but the listing suggests combat will play a major role in the game, and given that it released a remake of The souls of demons in 2020, it’s hard not to think about the possibility of a Transmitted by blood redo or remaster.
After The souls of demons‘ launched alongside the PS5 five years ago, Bluepoint is reportedly working on an announced live game, seen as a God of War title; However, the project was canceled in January alongside another live service game from The days gone by developer, Bend Studio.
