‘SNL’ Alumnus Bowen Yang Quits As SAG Awards Presenter After Unforeseen Problems

Bowen Yang was scheduled to present an award at the SAG Awards on Sunday, March 1, alongside Connor Storrie but unfortunately found himself caught in uncontrollable circumstances.

The 35-year-old comedian and actor brought humor to the show even when he wasn’t trying, as Kathryn Hahn replaced him to announce the award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Drama Series.

THE Saturday evening live former student was stuck in Antarctica while Hahn and the Passionate rivalry the star confessed after taking the stage.

“First of all, I wasn’t even supposed to present this award. Right now, my name is Bowen Yang. Because he’s stuck in Antarctica,” said The Workshop actress.

Storrie then pointed to the screen which showed a selfie Wicked star in the snow, and Hahn told the audience, “Yeah, no, it’s true.”

Memories of Yang SNL days, Storrie recalls: “Do you all remember the time he played a real iceberg on SNL?” mentioning the 2021 sketch in which he played an iceberg that sank the Titanic.

They then presented the award to Keri Russell for The diplomat.

For the awards ceremony, Storrie flew straight to Los Angeles after his SNL his debut in New York the previous evening, where he was joined by his Passionate rivalry his co-star Hudson Williams in a surprise appearance.
