The slugger of athletics, Brent Rooker, targeted a fan on social networks after the Heckler called him for giving a bottle to his child during the Home Run All-Star derby on Monday evening.

Rooker, 30, was captured on the broadcast of ESPN nourishing her 11 month old daughter, Blake Eloise, a bottle when she was sitting near the canoe.

“What an explosion! It was an honor to compete with these guys and to realize a childhood dream,” he wrote in an article on X. “Congratulations to Cal and all the others who made it a great evening! Always difficult to believe that I have opportunities to do things like that.”

But not everyone was feeling love.

In response to his post, a person on X criticized the Mlb Player to jump into dad mode during the derby.

“Hey Rooker … Do you really need to feed your baby on the camera? Sometimes people just want you to play,” wrote the person.

Roboker struck back, writing: “Yes, you had to feed my 11 -month -old child, his night bottle at 9:00 pm. Thank you for asking.”

Fans on social networks agreed with Rooker.

“Personally, I think that one of the best things is to see people being loving parents who are there for their children as much as possible. It is the ultimate home run,” wrote a person.

“17 Home Runs and feed your child … It is boss status,” added another.

“I am sure that with the calendar of a ball player, he cannot give his child a bottle as often … Maybe it is something that he does not want to miss if he does not have to do it, or maybe he wanted to give a break to his wife. Well to be a father,” read a separate article.
