Islamabad:
The British elected advisers and the mayors of the Party line appreciated the Pakistani High Commissioner (PHC) to bring together community leadership, allowing them to connect with their colleagues and their peers from the United Kingdom.
The PHC in London organized an agreement of Pakistani British advisers, which was assisted by delegates from all over the United Kingdom, representing all the political parties of the United Kingdom, said a message received here on Sunday.
More than 200 advisers, mayors, deputy mayors and heads of the Grand London councils in Midlands, Manchester, Bradford, Birmingham and Glasgow, participated in the event.
Speaking on occasion, the High Commissioner of Pakistan, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, congratulated British-Pakistani leaders for their vital role in strengthening democracy, the promotion of multiculturalism and the bridge oath between the United Kingdom and Pakistan.
The High Commissioner has emphasized the projection of the achievements of British-Pakistani women. “The strength of our nation abroad is reflected in the dignity, unity and contributions of our diaspora,” he said. “When you get up, Pakistan gets up with you.”
Faisal condemned attempts to stigmatize the Pakistani community on the basis of isolated incidents, urging managers to actively counter negative stereotypes by amplifying the stories of success in education, business, health care and the public service. He called on the community to empower women and young people, to preserve cultural heritage and to explore the opportunities for the growing economy of Pakistan.
