British regulator allowing retail investors to access ETN Crypto in October

Retail investors in the United Kingdom will soon be able to buy negotiated tickets in exchange for crypto (CETNS) Under a new rule of the Authority Conduct Conduct (FCA) set to take effect on October 8.

The FCA had previously prohibited detail access to ETN Crypto in 2021, citing problems of investor protection.

However, with the maturation market and certain crypto investment products now better understood, the regulator has declared that it will allow access, provided that ETNs are listed on British exchanges recognized and approved by the FCA.

Products must respect the rules of financial promotion to prevent deceptive advertising and inappropriate incentives. FCA consumer service rules, which force companies to avoid causing predictable damage, will apply. However, the FCA warned that there will be no coverage as part of the financial services remuneration regime for these products.

This decision comes after retail investors had access to a plethora of funds negotiated in exchange for cryptocurrency (ETF) In the United States, these funds, according to Sosovalue data, have already accumulated $ 146.4 billion in total net assets.
