Britney Spears remains under investigation following her drunk driving arrest earlier this week, with the results of her field sobriety tests still pending, results that could significantly affect the scope of what happens next.
The 44-year-old woman was arrested on Highway 101 in Ventura County, California, on Wednesday (March 4) after officers observed signs of impairment during a traffic stop involving her black BMW 430i.
She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol and booked into the Ventura County Main Jail at 3:02 a.m. Thursday morning.
A blood test at a local hospital revealed her blood alcohol level was 0.06, below the legal limit, and she was released at 6:07 a.m.
A court hearing has been set for Monday, May 4.

“Britney will take the right steps and comply with the law, and I hope this can be the first step in a long-awaited change that needs to happen in Britney’s life,” the spokesperson said, calling the incident “completely inexcusable.”
