Abbottabad:
In a repression of the fraud of the documents, the Abbottabad police arrested a group for having illegally obtained Pakistani identity cards for Afghan nationals.
According to police sources, the suspects arrested were identified as SAQIB, a resident of Islamabad; Naeem, from Kehal; Sami, an Afghan national; and Jaleel. These people were reportedly involved in forging documents to help Afghan nationals fraudulently acquire Pakistani national identity cards.
A case was registered against the accused under articles 419, 468 and 471 of the Pakistani penal code, as well as article 14 of the law of foreigners. Police said that more in -depth investigation was underway to discover additional links and accomplices.
