Sindh’s main minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced on Wednesday that pink scooters will be distributed free of charge by the provincial government next month.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, he said that the Sindh government would also introduce two -story buses and electric buses (electric vehicles) as part of its transport initiatives.
Tracks for cyclists and pedestrians are also under construction, he added.
Regarding the BRT of the yellow line, Memon said that the corridor along the Jam Sadiq bridge will be completed before the scheduled date. The old bridge will then be demolished and rebuilt to improve the flow of traffic, he added.

According to Memon, the BRT Red Line remains a key goal and will be completed as soon as possible, the project from the front under the support of the World Bank.
Created in 2020, Transkarachi is a public sector company belonging to the Sindh government. It serves as an implementation agency for the red line of $ 503 million Karachi Bus Transit (BRT).
The project is sponsored by the provincial government with financial support from the Asian Development Bank (BAD) and the co-financers, in particular the Asian Investment Bank in Infrastructure (AIIB), the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
The Red Line project is under development in three phases.

The first phase will link the model of the model to Mosmiyat, phase two will extend the Mosmiyat route to Nunish Chowrangi, and phase three will take place from the municipal park to the tower.
The foundation stone for the one and two phases, covering the bus supply and civilian work, was laid in August 2022 with an initial completion target of 2024, but the deadline was uncertain.
Earlier in March, Memon said that Line Yellow’s BRT project would be completed by May 2025, five months in advance.
The BRT Red Line project is faced with certain problems due to civil aviation, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) and K-IV, which will soon be resolved, said Memon.
He also said that Green Line’s prices will not be increased, but that the facilities will still be increased, so that better travel facilities could be provided to people.
