Marchand, however, is set to the free agency unless the panthers sign it before the start of the period on Tuesday. If they do not, athletics reported that the Bruins would be interested in a meeting with the man who spent 15 consecutive seasons in Boston.

The report also mentions the Toronto Maple Leafs as a team interested in the native of Nova Scotia, 37.

The Bruins took a merchant in the third round of the NHL 2006 draft, and the left on director quickly became a franchise star. He won four stars nominations while winning a Stanley Cup in Boston during the 2010-11 campaign.

Marchand acquired the reputation of being a pest on the ice, and he had the statistics to support the speech of garbage.

In the Stanley Cup qualifiers, Marchand played 23 games, scoring 10 goals and depositing 10 assists for a total of 20 points. He posted a plus-17, while also having a 48-minute penalty.

The reason for the trade of merchant was due to his expired contract, because he played in the last year of his eight -year contract in Boston. But no one thought that the team would go from “mountain” despite the agreement, because it was expected that the two parties would find common ground on an extension.

The clock runs and merchant will have to make a decision soon, although the ball is in the panthers court until Tuesday.
