BTC Recovers $70,000 Following Ceasefire Report

A down day in crypto eased slightly in the minutes after U.S. stocks closed for the session.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, a month-long ceasefire could soon be announced as part of a package negotiated by White House envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Other terms of the deal would include the dismantling of Iran’s existing nuclear capabilities and that country’s commitment to “never pursue” nuclear weapons.

The news was felt most immediately in the oil market, with Brent falling from $104 to less than $100 in minutes.

Trading lower throughout the day and hovering near $69,000, Bitcoin quickly returned to $70,000.
