BTS reunite in the United States for the first time in 4 years with an intimate show

BTS made their long-awaited return to the American stage, sending fans crazy with ecstasy.

The band treated their fans to an intimate rooftop performance in front of just 1,000 of their top Spotify listeners, marking their first U.S. appearance in four years.

K pop superstars RM, Jin, SUGA, j Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook headlined Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE in New York on March 23.

The event included a mix of live music, Q&A moments and immersive fan experiences inspired by their new album ARIRANG.

“It’s really an honor for us to make our first stop in America here,” RM told the crowd during a question-and-answer session moderated by Suki Waterhouse.

“It’s been four years but now here we are. The seven of us, and with all of you, ARMY [the group’s fandom name]. We, with you, we can conquer the world.

Fans braved freezing rain showers to watch BTS perform highlights from ARIRANG, including hip hop track “2.0,” stadium-ready anthem “NORML” and their current single “SWIM.”

The set ended on a heartfelt note of connection.

The event followed BTS’s global comeback concert The Comeback Live: ARIRANG, broadcast to 190 countries from Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, where more than 100,000 fans gathered in person.

ARIRANG sold nearly 4 million copies on its first day, cementing BTS’ comeback after completing mandatory military service in South Korea.

ARIRANG’s world tour kicks off on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, before heading to the United States on April 25, followed by dates in Europe, then Asia and Australia through 2027.
