BUCKINGHAM PALLE Share Queen Camilla’s message to mark the big day

Buckingham Palace published Queen Camilla’s message to mark the 85th anniversary of Operation Dynamo in Dunkirk.

The palace shared the message on social media handles with legend: “A message from the queen marking the 85th anniversary of Operation Dynamo in Dunkirk, in honor of the civil contribution to the war effort.”

The queen’s message reads as follows: “Today and with the nation, the king and I would like to remember the effort of heroic and unprecedented civil war of Operation Dynamo at its 85th anniversary.

“More than nine days, an eclectic collection of sailors, ferry masters, barge hands, fishermen and children, with their small ships, produced the large evacuation of more than 338,000 soldiers who were fighting with their backs in the sea in Dunkirk.”

Queen Camilla also said: “My father, who was part of their number and transported safely at home 85 years ago today, remembers a cement ship to find refuge and rest in her wheel house.”

“He noted in his memoirs that” the ship was commanded by a ship aspirant who was looking for about twelve years, helped by a crew master at the age of eighty, “continued Camilla.

“I know that my father, as well as his comrades of the British expeditionary force and the Allied armies who have had the chance to find a safe passage, would be grateful today beyond the words for this life buoy,” she concluded.
