Bushra Bibi, the former First Lady and wife of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, refused to provide answers to the police interrogations during an investigation linked to 20 cases of protest.

The police teams arrived at Adiala prison in Rawalpindi, where Bushra Bibi is currently detained, to include it in the investigation concerning the demonstrations that have been organized recently, Express News reported.

The teams of investigatives, including Afzal inspectors, Yaqub Shah, Rashid Kiyani and others, interviewed Bushra Bibi in the prison administrative block.

However, Bushra Bibi clearly indicated that she would not respond to the police investigation until she consulted her husband, Imran Khan, and her lawyer, Salman Safdar.

She said she needed approval from them before she could provide an official declaration.

During a hearing on the 31 cases recorded after November 26, Bushra Bibi was presented before Judge Amjad Ali Shah. She asked that she be authorized to meet the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, and his lawyer to discuss his answer to police questions.

Bushra Bibi also asked that the consultation will take place in the presence of her husband, Imran Khan, and her lawyer.

The Court, following standard operational procedures (SOPS), ordered that Bushra Bibi be authorized to meet his lawyer and Imran Khan before investigating.

The hearing is adjourned until March 7, 2025.

Last month, a local Islamabad tribunal rejected three release requests under a pre-arrest bond filed by Bushra Bibi.

The judge of additional sessions Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the petitions on the cases linked to the demonstrations of November 26, reported Express News.

Prosecutor Iqbal Kakhar and defense lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry appeared before the court during the procedure.

Bushra Bibi’s lawyer submitted a request requesting an exemption from appearance.

The prosecutor argued that Bushra Bibi had not submitted any guarantees as required. The judge expressed his concern, declaring: “You have not yet submitted the guarantees. You do not comply with the orders of the court. »»

Defense lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry replied that Bushra Bibi should appear in court for a decision on the reference of 90 million pounds Sterling and was to visit Adiala prison.

Judge Majoka subsequently rejected the bonding arguments, noting that the provisional deposit previously granted to Bushra Bibi was only valid until the date of the hearing. Affairs against it arises from its alleged involvement in the demonstrations which took place on November 26.
