Islamabad:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs marked the Baloch demonstrators on Thursday, who took to the streets of Sindh and Balutchistan, as an active participants in a broader campaign of anarchy and violence.
“Hiding behind a facade of alleged grievances, these elements operate in collusion with terrorists, which is obvious from their coordinated efforts to obstruct state responses, in particular synchronized roadblocks facilitating terrorist attacks,” said spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan during his weekly layout.
He said comments lacked balance and proportionality, minimizing civilian victims inflicted by terrorist attacks while ignoring crimes committed by criminals who deliberately disrupt public services, obstructing freedom of movement and created an atmosphere of insecurity.
He said the last proof of this link was their illegal assault on a district hospital in Quetta, where they have forcibly seized the bodies of five terrorists eliminated during the Jaffar Express hostage rescue. Three of these bodies were recovered from these violent demonstrators by the police.
Il a dit que le modèle de focalisation “sélective et disproportionnée” par la machinerie des Nations Unies n’a pas servi de but constructif. Instead, he inadvertently encourages extremist elements, fuels the sensationalism of the unjustified media, encourages disorder and exacerbates the most polarization and societal fragmentation, he added.
He declared that the declaration of the UN special procedure mandate holders was in striking contradiction with the essence and the very spirit of the UN own resolution 2354.
“Rather than supporting a sovereign state in its determined and resolved efforts to fight terrorism, such declarations are likely to legitimize extremist accounts, a result not only counterproductive but also fundamentally in contradiction with the principles that the UN claims to support.”
He welcomed the recently agreed limited ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, prohibiting attacks on energy infrastructure and ensuring safe navigation in the Black Sea.
“Pakistan’s position on the Ukrainian conflict was consistent. Pakistan has had friendly relations with Russia and Ukraine. We have always recommended dialogue and diplomacy, the immediate cessation of hostilities and the peaceful resolution of this conflict,” he said.
The spokesperson Khan expressed his concerns concerning the series of raids by the Indian authorities on the residences belonging to members of different voters of all the Hurriyat Conference parts in the IIOJK which, according to him, aimed to crush the dissident and to intimidate the local population.
