Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan had provided evidence to Afghanistan showing how individuals there received training before launching attacks inside Pakistan. Express News reported.

He warned that if Kabul failed to curb these elements, Islamabad would have no choice but to take necessary measures.

Addressing the media in the capital, Naqvi said a suicide blast at Islamabad’s G-11 took place at 12:39 p.m., leading to martyrdom of 12 people and injury to 27 others. He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had ordered immediate medical assistance to the injured.

According to the minister, the suicide bomber had planned to enter the premises of the district court but, failing to do so, he exploded near a police vehicle. “Our first priority is to identify the suicide bomber,” he said.

Naqvi further said a vehicle-borne suicide bomber detonated at an entry point in Wana a day earlier, where clearance operations were still underway. He said evidence pointed to Afghan involvement in the Wana attack as communications links were established with Afghanistan.

“The elements involved in the attack on the court will also be exposed,” he said, reaffirming that Pakistan would not compromise on its security. “We are aware of what Afghanistan is doing, but those who caused the legal incident will face the consequences,” Naqvi added.
