The two players were opposed to each other on the field and by the fans and the media since their controversial battle during the NCAA 2023 championship match. Reese Narqua Clark by pointing its annular during the match, causing the indignation and triggering a quarrel in progress between the fans.

The Iowa Hawkeyes of Clark took revenge on the Tigers LSU of Reese a year later in the elite eight, but the tension reached a whole new level when the players reached the pros for their recruit seasons of the WNBA.

Clark took a series of questionable faults from Reese’s Sky throughout the 2024 season, including one from June 16.

Clark also took a sadly famous check for the illegal hip hip of the Chicago Sky Carter attacker on June 1. Then, at the end of August, Diamond Deshields of Chicago committed a hard fault on Clark, which flew through the ground. The fault was then upgraded to a blatant violation, and Dehields then published screenshots of hatred messages which she had received from the fault.

But the Clark team prevailed, taking three of the four meetings between the two teams last year, which were among the most watched WNBA competitions all the season.

The sky and the fever meet five times in 2025.
