Caitlin Clark’s competitive fire was clearly far from being extinguished while she was left out with a groin injury without real calendar for her return to court.

The Indiana Fever star was seen to enter with Phoenix star Mercury Dewanna Bonner in their match on Tuesday evening. The Mercury won, 85-79.

Bonner returned to her bench, indicating that she wanted a replay during a previous call. Clark, in black sweats, came out of the bench and seemed to say to Bonne to return to the bench. The two apparently started with jaws against each other while the players huddled. Bonner had to be escorted by his side by his teammates.

Bonner collected 19 points and four rebounds in 25 minutes on the bench while Phoenix improved at 26-14 this season. Indiana fell to 21-20.

The WNBA veteran has a certain story with Clark. She played for Connecticut Sun last season and in their confrontation in playoffs, Bonner and Clark exchanged words and had to be separated.

Bonner joined fever during the offseason, but was only with the team for nine games before asking for their release. Later, she joined Phoenix – where she spent the first 10 seasons of her career. An adjustment problem was the only reason given about the reason she left the team.

Indiana is still playing for a place in playoffs with three games to play. The team is in eighth place in the WNBA ranking. The fever plays the sky of Chicago, followed by the mystics of Washington and Minnesota Lynx.
