The phenomenon of the WNBA Caitlin Clark said that it had been sentenced to a fine of $ 200 by the League for an Instagram comment calling the referees on Saturday, and it has not even played a match for months.
In a post X, Clark has repressed a screenshot of his commentary, which celebrated the victory of the Indiana Fever qualifying series against Atlanta’s dream with the declaration “Refs could not stop us” of a fans account.
“Had a fine of $ 200 for this lol,” wrote Clark in his refinement X post screenshot. “Bench Mob will be even more rowdy tomorrow leaves goo !!!!!!!!!!!!”

Clark’s teammate Sophie Cunningham then reflected Clark’s post, a joking that someone should start a fundraising for Clark to help pay the fine.
“It will really break the bank for her. Starting a gofundme now!” Cunningham wrote.
Clark’s salary in 2025 was $ 78,066, but it has approvals that overshadow this figure.
Clark and Cunningham suffered end -of -season injuries earlier this year and were sidelined throughout the Indiana qualifying series.
However, the two players were at the center of attention during the post-season match, in particular with regard to the referees.
During the first quarter of the fever match against Atlanta’s dream on Tuesday evening, Clark and Cunningham made a demonstrative gesture to the officials, protesting that a dream player is called to travel.
Images of their joint gesture have become viral on social networks.
Later in the match, when the officials called traveling on Atlanta, Clark was seen by imitating the gesture again, with playfulness.
The relationship between Clark and WNBA officials has been a controversial subject since she entered the League in 2024.
Several people close to Clark, including Cunningham, the fever coach Stephanie White and even Clark’s brother talked about a questionable treatment of the WNBA phenomenon by referees.
In June, after having become viral for starting a fight in Clark against Connecticut Sun, Cunningham called on journalists.

“During that, it was just part of the game. I think the referees had a lot to do with it. It was an accumulation for a few years now, not protecting the star player of the WNBA,” said Cunningham. “In the end, I will protect my teammates. That’s what I do.”
Clarkâs brother Colin Clark suggested that WNBA officials were to blame for the injury of the shooting goalkeeper, whom she suffered in July.
“Make no mistake, it’s on reffusion,” he wrote on X, before deleting the post.
White called managers after a controversial non-appeal against Clark against New York freedom in May.

Now, Clark has boastful boldly to have been sentenced to a fine for calling arbitrators on social networks, while his team continues throughout the WNBA qualifiers without her.
