After the first season of Caitlin Clark in the WNBA, the WNBA ended with the honors of the recruit of the year, the second -year campaign of the Indiana Fever Star was derailed by injuries.

The fever went to Las Vegas Thursday for a match against the AS, but Clark will not be aligned due to a groin injury.

Clark seemed to undergo the injury in a match against Connecticut Sun on July 15.

“Caitlin Clark has undergone other medical assessments earlier this week. The team may confirm that no additional injury or damage has been discovered by the assessments,” a spokesperson for a statement sent to PK Press Club Digital said.

“Clark will continue to work with the medical fever team on their recovery and rehabilitation with priority on their health and long-term well-being.”

The fever added that there is “no schedule available for the return of Clark”.

Clark looked at the bench on Tuesday when the fever had lost against New York freedom. New York doctors also evaluated Clark during the team visit, according to several reports. The fever coach Stephanie White did not offer details on how these meetings with the doctors went when she spoke to journalists on Tuesday.

Clark has appeared in 13 games so far this season.

Earlier this year, she was sidelined for three weeks with a quad injury. A left groin injury prevented Clark by two weeks. The current injury setback implies its right groin.

The fever had trouble without stars, winning only four of the 11 games it missed.

Clark was named Wnba All-Star for the second time this year, but she did not participate in the match last weekend due to an injury.

“This is the first time that I have not felt like a young body that can run and sprint every day and continue to do it,” Clark told Glamor during the stars weekends. “As a professional artstest, you really have to take care of your body and your mind. It was a journey by learning about it.”

Clark was in good health during his university basketball career outside competition. She never missed a match at Iowa due to an injury. When Clark was in good health enough to take the court this season, she did not find the form that won her honors from the first WNBA team in 2024.

Clark has entered what could be described as a shooting crisis at one point this season, making only 7 of the 49 attempts by Beyond the 3 points in the last seven games in which she played.

The 23-year-old took a good start this year, recording a triple-double during the opening of the Indiana season. Clark is on average 16.5 points and 8.8 assists. The fever is entering Thursday’s match with the AS with a 12-12 file.
