The star of Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark began his WNBA season in 2025 with a triple-double in the 93-58 rout of his Chicago Sky team on Saturday.
During the match, Clark was called to a blatant fault after a hard fault on his rival, Angel Reese.
The star Sky Center was angry with Clark’s fault and continued it in a heated exchange broken by the players of the sky and the fever. Clark walked away and never watched Reese while Reese continued to walk towards her.

While he seemed tense on the field, Clark and Reese said that the fault was not as bad as it seemed after the match.
“Let’s not do something that is not the case,” said Clark after losing 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. “It was just a good game on basketball. I don’t know what the referee saw to upgrade it, and it’s their discretion.
“It is a fault to put them on the line of free throws. I looked a lot of basketball in my life. This is exactly what it was. I was not trying to do anything malicious. This is not the type of player I am.”

During the game, Reese obtained an offensive rebound, and Clark seemed to move to the referee that the Sky Center pushed another fever player. Clark then intentionally dirty, hugging her to prevent an easy lay-up.
The distribution of the ESPN debated the question of whether Clark slightly pushed Reese with his left arm after committing the fault, which could have led to the angry reaction of Reese.
Without developing, Reese described it as “basketball game” from Clark, a term that the two players have used in the past.
Reese had trouble shooting during the beginning of the season, marking 12 points out of 5 out of 14 on the field, while entering a summit of 17 rebounds.
It was a brief moment, but given the story between Clark and Reese, it is another chapter of a rivalry that dates back to their university days. The fever and the sky are now rival because of the story between Clark and Reese.

Last season, the fever took three of his four games, which included several hard mistakes that led to the national debate.
Stephanie White, who won her first victory as a chief coach of the fever, also commented Clark’s fault.
“No one will have something easy against us,” said White. “We are going to be a difficult defensive team. I thought it was also a clear game on the ball.”
“The fault on Clark met the criteria of Flagrant Foul 1, for the end, the impact and the follow-up of the extension of the left hand to the back of Reese, which is not considered a legitimate basketball game, and therefore deemed useless contact,” said the head of the Roy Gulbeyan team about Clark.
“After the fault, there is a physical mockery technique in Boston and a verbal technique on Reese, which has compensated.”

The closed window crowds of Gainbridge Fieldhouse applauded while Reese missed the first of its two free throws before Chicago retained the ball after the technical fault.
