Still the player, Clark had a message for both women.

“A little less tanning. A little more Bball ladies,” said Clark. The remark received more than 10,000 likes.

Cunningham had his own jokes.

“Tanning will come … everything else is perf,” wrote Cunningham in the photo of Clark.

Cunningham talked a lot about Clark as she joined the fever.

“We have talked a lot in the past two months since I became exchanged, and she is just a good human,” Cunningham told PK Press Club Digital from Clark in April. “I think she has humor for her, she has spirit. Everyone I spoke to said she is a super teammate. She just wants to win, right?”

She said that she believed that the “style of play” of Indiana is something in which she thrives and that if chemistry on the field is there, this team has a good chance of winning a championship.

“I’m just excited for [Clark’s] competitiveness. I am excited for everything she brings to the table. But again, I am excited for everyone, right? You have Kelsey Mitchell, who is also a veterinarian, who has been there for years, who is also a hell of a player. And so for me, just to be part of something for the first time – a new team for the first time in six years – I just think it’s a fresh wind. This is what I needed. He is re-motivated, he refocused my energy. And again, as at the end of the day, I just want to win. I want championships, and I think it’s the right team for that. “”

Cunningham, 28, was selected by Phoenix in the second round of the 2019 WNBA draft and has become one of the most popular players in the League. It appeared in 182 games, with an average of 7.7 points per match, 2.7 rebounds in total and 1.4 assists.
