Caitlin Clark withdraws from the All-Star Wnba game

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark said on Thursday that she will not participate in the WNBA stars match and the festivities surrounding her after seeing a groin injury re-engraving.

Clark announced the decision in a declaration through the team.

“I am so excited that Indy welcomes the WNBA All-Star this weekend. I would like to thank the Indianapolis reception committee and all the people who have put endless work in the past year to organize this event,” she said. “I know it will be the best All-Star to date.

“I am incredibly sad and disappointed to say that I cannot participate in the 3-point competition or in the All-Star game. I have to rest my body. I will always be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the whole action and I can’t wait to help Sandy (Brondello) to lead our team to a victory.

“I can’t wait to see you all there.”

Clark suffered the injury in the decreasing moments of the victory of the fever against Connecticut Sun on Tuesday evening. She seemed to change her upper leg on a rebound pass in Kelsey Mitchell.

The injuries were Clark’s main scenario this season. She missed almost a dozen games because of the injuries, but still managed to run fans to vote for the star match.

It is not known how long Clark will be out.

Indiana has a 12-11 sheet after Wednesday evening defeat against New York freedom.

The team will return to action on July 22 – Back on the road against New York.
