Cal Raleigh’s dream season for Seattle’s Navy continued on Sunday, while he made the history of the MLB for a receiver.
The Switch-Hitting slugger, affectionately known by the naval fans base as “Big Dumper”, has become the first receiver in the history of the MLB to reach 49 circuits in a single season, breaking the previous brand of the star of the Royals of Kansas City Salvador Perez of 48.
Raleigh also did it in style, crushing his second circuit in as many blows against the Oakland Athletics in his T-Mobile park.

Raleigh had already taken the Jacob Lopez Yard athletics starter at the bottom of the first round, and he had another chance in the next setting – and he did not waste it.
On the first ground he saw, Raleigh, striking on the right side, turned on a change that attracted the plate too much and watched it navigate the fence of the left field.

The faithful of the navy were unleashed in the stands, recognizing what Raleigh had just done. Raleigh celebrated with his teammates in the canoe, transporting the trident of the navy, which is given to all the players who hit a home run.
Raleigh was the leader of the MLB in the circuits with 47 entering Sunday, two in front of the Philadelphia Phillies star, Kyle Schwarber. He extended this high -fashionable advance, and smile on his face said everything.
Perez struck 48 circuits during the 2021 season, binding it with the first Toronto Blue Jays player, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for the head of the league that year.

At the time, Perez broke a long -standing record for the receiver MLB, exceeding 45 Johnny Bench circuits from 1970.
But Raleigh had the whole 2025 campaign, becoming the first main receiver to win the Home Run Derby, which he won in July. He had a sweet swing all the season, and the navy appreciated each time he is in contact with one – because it seems that he does not cool.
This also helps the chances of SEATTLE qualifying series because they are 2.5 games from Houston Astros for the head of Al West by entering Sunday. They also hold the last position of the Joker in the American League, with the Royals of Perez seated 2.5 games behind.

In what should be a stormy race in September, the navies would like Raleigh to add to his total of Home Run now in the hope of obtaining their shot on a World Series title.
